Laurence Darrieumerlou, immersed early in the world of languages, cultures, and foreign lands, passionate about words, people, behaviors, and the vibrancy of differences, initially pursued studies in speech therapy. Her particular interest in great thinkers and open spaces led her toward the business world. A polyglot, sensitized and trained in management, she held positions in large companies, discovering teamwork and cross-functional projects within rapidly growing organizations. From her natural inclinations and early career, Laurence retains a unique perspective on business, seeing companies as vast laboratories for observation. In 2013, she became a consultant in human capital valorization.

Serge Darrieumerlou, a graduate of EDHEC, has always sought paths less traveled. His profile suggested he would become a CFO, and indeed he joined Decathlon in the finance department. However, his positive personality, desire to find meaning, and vision for the company led him toward broader horizons. In 2000, he proposed the creation of an Innovation Department to the executive management; the project was accepted. He became Innovation Director and later joined the Diversification Department. His Decathlon journey lasted 11 years. Serge then became CEO of Somfy France. Drawing on his experience and commitment to evolving both the company and its employees, he took over Innovation Management for the Somfy Group in September 2015, aiming to foster a globally dynamic innovation approach benefiting employees, products, and clients.
